About the trail
Branching off the popular Rabaçal trails, this quieter route follows the old water channel that gives it its name through the laurel forest of the Paul da Serra plateau. It threads between mossy rock faces and seasonal waterfalls in one of the wettest, greenest corners of Madeira.
